I choose this article because this has an affect on us and the Ohio House has voted 92-5 to give schools two more "snow days," beyond the three they're currently allowed.School districts used to have five days but lost two under former Gov. Ted Strickland. The Ohio Senate is considering similar legislation to go back to five calamity days. Gov. John Kasich favors an increase.
I am okay with the increase, as we are in the snow belt. I am also disagreeing as schools around the world do not forgive snow days or never call them. One example is about schools in Alaska. Snow days do not exist until the temperature drops to -50ยบ Fahrenheit.
